Cubic Parameters
Life has been so crazy!
I'm on a blog too, that's sorta weird.
So here's a thought.
Boxes - those containers we so easily find ourselves in. Unlike a wet paper bag, boxes are a bit more difficult for us to break out from. It seems though as if more and more people are breaking out of their boxes either seeing Jesus Christ for the first time, or they are seeing Him from a whole new perspective and standpoint. Tradition is melting away, and a young desperate generation is becoming increasingly focused on the one who is worth longing after.
Thought of the day: When we break out of one box, don't get stuck in another.
Being a bit candid... I remember the days of old, back in high school, swearing away without even thinking about it, or how ridiculous it sounded. I was in a box and didn't even know it.
Broke out of that cubic parameter into another...
As I am on the other side of the fence as a teacher, listening to the students swear. It's not something I will stand for....yet my thoughts are so condemning towards them. How do we stand for righteousness without looking down our noses with condemning eyes? We need to love people to Christ, not make them feel like scum!
Psalm 1 says "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seate of the scornful..."
Yet Jesus says in Luke 12:51, "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division."
My prayer is that we will stand for righteousness with our hearts, thoughts, and passion - that we would intercede with our prayers and war in the spiritual realm.... For divine strategies to come that will divide not our witness, but will seperate and set us apart from the actions of this world.
So, I'm going to continue to sing through the halls, play worship music 'under the radar and be firm in my insisting their language be "toned down." Another month to begin changing the atmosphere... what a gift!
I wonder if I can bring my guitar in and start singing over them... haha that would be so cool!
We can sing life into them....
